The sea has thrown a heap of stones as a natural defence at the entrance to the beach. Stones that appear grey, but when one looks closley, are all shades of grey, cream-grey, blue and grey blue. As one climbs over the pebble mountain, the horizon appears very close, but as you reach the crest, the beach drops away in a surprisingly long shallow slope to the sea.
